Termination of a federal program, contract, or grant that funded me or the organization I work for

• My organization had to terminate a program that it offered to beneficiaries
• My organization had to furlough or terminate one or more paid positions

My organization was a subrecipient of over $150M to manage loans to organizations and individuals building clean solar energy projects. We were about to close on the first $3M loan to an organization building clean energy systems for low and moderate income beneficiaries. The government froze the funds already committed to us and announced that the program might be cancelled. We cancelled our program with the understanding that we would not likely move forward with the loan program on the future. We also had to terminate the position of one person hired specifically to support that program.
